Yesterday I had an interview where I was asked a bunch of questions where i had think quickly and wisely before responding. One of the questions was 'what do you know about ecommerce?' I was a bit in shock because all i have been thinking is emarketing so this question did not fit into my process of thinking. I told her that I had my ideas of ecommerce but at school we have been learning about emarketing. She was very interested and I filled her in on my projects in this class. She seemed interested. And then went on to asking me how I feel about social media, in which I responded "its something I grew up with." Others have to learn it where my generation was just taught into it. Secondly that social media revolves all around marketing in todays world. Its the way people stay in touch, companies get their names out, and keep their current customers with other marketing techniques. All these questions and our class run hand in hand. It helped me with the experience. Thanks! (and i went home and researched ecommerce)

You can make your website much more known just with the meta tags...but as I have done on my website. connecting with different people in my program. They are connected to my site as I am to their site. Its a mutually beneficial relationship. This way both parties are more known around the web. because of the use of the name, the simple click one can do to look at a site, and the more ones site is clicked the more it becomes popular.

For our website to be better known around the web, we should add meta tags to our site, to each page and then to each photo. I can do the first two but the third I have not come about how to attach a meta tag to my photos when I am uploading them. I always wondered how the computer chooses websites out of all the websites that exists in the world. So one can do a title meta tag and a description meta tag.

“Description” tells the search engine what your page or site is about: For the search engine to understand what your page is about, you need to write a good description. When Google's algorithm decides a description is badly written or inaccurate, it will replace that description with its own version of what is on the page.

The SOSTAC model and associated methodology are now used by blue chip corporations around the world and also by many smaller businesses and organisations. In some ways SOSTAC has been a victim of its own success - rather like hoover means vacuum and xerox means photocopy - such is the price of inventing a good concept and name to go with it...
As stated in the heading the SOSTAC acronym stands for:

Well hello! Over the weekend I got into touch with Dr. Wood about the newsletter and I realized its time to get working on it. Facebook helped make this meeting possible. Todd and I were discussing how we can separate the class into different groups so that each person has something to do. We were thinking of having a team of 3-4 to make the first original english newspaper, then have translations into Spanish, French, Arabic, an African language(yet unkown) and Chinese. We want to divide it up so no one person is stuck doing a whole translation alone. So we picked language were there are atleast three who can translate together. For me I believe, making the newspaper is the easier part but translating it, is the harder part. So I guess we will have to see how it goes. Todd and I are coming with topics thats we can use in our newspaper.
Looking forward to posting some photos and other news of how our meeting goes today.

Yes economics is part of emarketing or I guess any sort of marketing. We have to know what our economy is doing to know how to serve our clients better in regards to what they are able to spend and if they are willing to spend at the moment in time. So what do you do if the economy is not going well, in respects to e marketing. Start doing offer's online such as groupons excessively bc people will be looking for a deal. Is that what is it about? Or do we keep up the same offers as before? Or is it even about offers? I hope this post makes sense...

Yes thats right.. Dr. Wood is leaving after today. I have enjoyed having him 4 hours a day now but I am ready to step away from this site just for a bit, to get a breather and rethink how I am going to make this site much better. But no worries by the time you get back Dr. Wood, you will find this site to be 'flying.' Have a good trip back!

Yesterday we had Swiss National Day. As I had written this already once before and it didn't store, I am having to write about this in the past now. I wrote my first blog on this day to make it special. Well now its only the day after Swiss National Day, so its just as special...

I started this site for my emarketing teacher Dr. Wood. I dont know how many versions I have made of this site. Everytime I think its "really coming along well," I look over to one of my classmates and see their cool sites, and then I hit delete, to restart once again... Well here I am now, somewhat happy with my site, waiting to see another persons site. I actually thought I wouldn't go to emarketing today just to avoid having to see the other people's websites. (Dr. Wood, you explained to me today what was a legitimate excuse, this would be included :)

So you never know..next time you come back you may think you are lost, but no..katie just saw another's persons website and felt too pitiful about her own site. Stay tuned to watch the drama!
